What do readers feel about F&C Stewardship investing in the big banks such as HSBC? And have investors had any notification about the change of name and aims of Stewardship funds from January 2010?.

Amnesty International recently pointed out that HSBC are the biggest provider of investment banking services to cluster bomb manufacturers ($657 million USD) so I\\\'m astounded that Stewardship is investing in them. I\\\'m a Stewardship investor (inactive personal pension) and have received details of changes from Jan 2010 but the notice says that the fund name will remain as Stewardship..

I contacted F&C a couple of years ago on the subject of Tesco holdings. They argue that this gives them a say in Tesco policy.... not a big enough say IMHO. I suppsoe they\'d say the same about bank shares!
